In August 2009, a friend's goat butted me in the left eyebrow and ouch! I was unable to go to the hospital because I was too scared, tired, and just wanted to feel better. So, I went home, locked myself in the bathroom, shaved off my eyebrow, cleaned my wound, and closed it with surgical strips. I used a very strong and sticky tape to hold my skin together. My eye was numb so I felt nothing doing this. I placed 2 outer strips from top to bottom and 1 center strip from bottom to top. Each day, I cleaned my wounds with peroxide. In 4 days, I removed the strips and began massaging vitamin E into my wound to prevent scar tissue. I also drank whey each day in a little lemon water for vitamin C and protein. Whey is the clear liquid from strained yogurt. I use raw milk for yogurt, and raw milk whey has immunoglobulins and vitamin C. Heat treating raw milk destroys vitamin C and immunoglobulins.
Well, this is how my eye looks now! My eye is almost completely healed in less than 6 months and very little scar tissue. In a year or so, all my eyebrow should grow back and I hope to look completely normal. It is my face and I do like to be pretty. I thank GOD that our bodies heal and rebuild! What a creation HE has made!
